Reply to John Briggs' letter of 10 Feb. Supplies handwritten copy of the plainsong, "The Golden Sequence," which is the basis for Yardumian's Chorale-prelude on plainsong "Veni, Sancte Spiritus" for orchestra. Gives explanation and brief analysis of his work. Letter originally accompanied by score (Philadelphia : Elkan-Vogel, 1959; cataloged separately), and two recordings.
